You could say it’s ideal for a quiet dinner, whether it’s a date night or just a solo meal where you want to treat yourself.

Now, about the food.

I started with their Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, which, honestly, were dangerously good.

The Crispy Brussels Sprouts surprised me, too—who knew pickled apples and caramel sauce could work so well together?

But the real winner for me was the Scottish Salmon. It was perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor.

And if you’re a dessert person (which, let’s be real, who isn’t?), do not leave without trying the Bourbon Toffee or Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Now, if you want something different, Indiya: Flavors of India in Collingswood is where it’s at.

I love Indian food, and mixing it with fresh seafood is something I didn’t know I needed.

The Tandoor-grilled shrimp is a must-order.

It comes out sizzling, with an incredible smoky flavor that only a real tandoor oven can give.

Then there’s the Goan Fish Curry—rich, creamy, and not too spicy.

As for the ambiance, it’s warm, stylish, and inviting—perfect for a night when you want something a little different but still comforting.

4. The Bistro at Haddonfield – Camden County

If you’re looking for a casual, laid-back spot with seriously good seafood, The Bistro at Haddonfield is where you want to be.

It’s BYOB, which is always a plus in my book, and the menu has something for everyone.

I’ve eaten here multiple times, and every single meal has been solid.

The Lamb Burger is juicy and full of flavor.

The French Onion Soup is rich and cheesy.

And the Eggs Benedict is just the meal if you’re brunching here.

The Eggplant Parmigiana is one of the best I’ve had—crispy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside, and smothered in sauce and cheese.

And if you’re a fan of Clams Casino, these guys know how to do it right.

The moment you walk in, you get that warm, family-friendly vibe—like you’re about to have a home-cooked meal—except way fancier.

And if you’re into desserts, don’t skip them here.

Their Italian sweets are a fitting ending to a meal that already feels like a hug on a plate.

6. Library IV – Gloucester County

If you love classic steakhouses with an old-school charm, Library IV in Williamstown is a must-visit.

It’s been around since 1973, and it still has that timeless charm—dim lighting, wood-paneled walls, and book-themed décor that makes it feel like an old gentlemen’s club in the best way possible.

And I was almost surprised at how good the seafood was for a steakhouse.

I had the lobster tail, and it was buttery, tender, and cooked perfectly.

The crab-stuffed filet mignon is also a solid pick if you’re looking for the best of both worlds.

But honestly, my favorite part is the 30-foot-long salad bar.

It’s not one of those sad, thrown-together salad bars—it’s got fresh produce, cheeses, homemade bread, and some great house-made dressings.

You can load up your plate before your main dish even arrives, and I may have gone back for seconds.

So, if you’re looking for quality seafood and steak in a chill, classic setting, this is the place.

7. Barnsboro Inn – Gloucester County

If you love a restaurant with history and character, Barnsboro Inn in Sewell is a must-visit.

This place has been around since 1776, and it has a colonial tavern charm—low ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and an old-world warmth that makes you want to stay a while.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times, and every time, the Imperial Crab Cake Sandwich steals the show.

It’s packed with lump crab (not that filler nonsense) and has a nice crispy crust without being greasy.

I also really liked the Cajun Calamari—it has a nice kick of heat that makes it stand out from the usual fried calamari you see everywhere.

The Steak and Crab Diane is another winner—it has a rich, buttery sauce that coats everything in the best way possible.

But the real pro move here is to go on a weekend.

There’s live music, and the atmosphere is lively but still relaxed—where you can grab a drink, enjoy some really solid food, and hang out without feeling rushed.

They also have two indoor bars, three dining areas, and an outdoor patio bar, so you’ll have options depending on your vibe.

8. Cap’n Cats Clam Bar – Gloucester County

Now, if you’re in the mood for no-fuss, fresh seafood in a super casual setting, Cap’n Cats Clam Bar in Westville is the place to be.

This is a seafood joint through and through, and that’s exactly what makes it great.

The menu is simple, but every dish is done right.

The New England Clam Chowder is incredible.

And the spicy shrimp has the right amount of heat without overpowering its natural sweetness.

But say you’re a shellfish fan; the King Crab Legs and Little Neck Steamers are top-tier.

What I love about this place is that it’s all about the food.

No one’s here to impress you with fancy décor or over-the-top presentation.

It’s just damn good seafood and cold beer, and sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.

9. The Pelican – Gloucester County

If you want something a little more upscale but still warm and inviting, The Pelican in Sewell is a great date night spot or a place for a nice, relaxed dinner with friends.

It’s also BYOB, which is always a bonus because you can bring whatever wine or beer you love without paying restaurant prices.

I’ve had crab cakes in a lot of places, and theirs are some of the best in South Jersey.

But if you want something a little different, the Drunken Seafood Bisque is next-level—rich, creamy, and infused with a dash of brandy.

The Shrimp Scampi is another solid pick—it’s classic, but they do it well, with a solid balance of garlic, butter, and white wine.

One thing I appreciate about The Pelican is that the service is always on point.

The staff knows their menu, they give great recommendations, and they make sure you have a great experience.

10. Di Paolo’s Italian Ristorante – Salem County

Finally, if you’re looking for a lively, high-energy Italian spot with amazing seafood, Di Paolo’s in Penns Grove is the place.

This isn’t a quiet, intimate restaurant—it’s big, bold, and full of energy, which makes it a great pick for a celebration or a fun night out.

The menu is heavily influenced by the Abruzzi region of Italy, which means big flavors, rich sauces, and fresh seafood.

I highly recommend the Seafood Fra Diavolo—it’s got just the right amount of heat, and the seafood is super fresh.

The Stuffed Lobster Tail is another hit—it’s filled with a perfectly seasoned crab stuffing that makes it extra indulgent.

But what really makes Di Paolo’s stand out is the live entertainment every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

It’s an experience, to say the least.

The music, the crowd, the energy—it all adds up to a fun, unforgettable night.
