Joanne Murphine of Millville was recognized for 50 years of service and dedication, at the Cumberland County 4-H Achievement Night program held on November 21 at the 4-H Extension Center on Morton Avenue in Rosenhayn.

Murphine was a leader of the Millville Trailblazers 4-H Club and has been an active member of the 4-H Horse Leaders Committee and 4-H Leaders Association. She started as a volunteer when her daughter Shelly and son Frank Jr. joined 4-H. She has served as announcer for the 4-H Open Horse Show Circuit for over 30 years and has been an avid supporter of 4-H and membership, spending many hours recruiting new members and touting the benefits of the 4-H program. Murphine has also served on State 4-H committees and attended State 4-H Leadership conferences.
