Millville’s JioVanni Cochran Advances to 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games

JioVanni Cochran, a driven and talented 13-year-old track and field athlete from Millville, is headed to Houston, Texas to compete in the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games, taking place July 26 – August 3. Representing both his hometown and the broader South Jersey community, JioVanni earned his place at the Junior Olympics by qualifying in four individual events at the AAU Regional Championships:
– 100m Dash
– 200m Hurdles
– 400m Dash
– 800m Run
But JioVanni’s achievements go far beyond the track. He is a multi-talented student-athlete and role model in his community. In addition to track and field:
– He plays Alto Saxophone in his school band
– Maintains Honor Roll academic status
– Takes private pilot lessons with the dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot
– Plays Varsity football for the Vineland Blitz Varsity Football Team
– Competes on his school’s cross country and track teams
A standout on the Knight Elite Track Club, JioVanni’s dedication, discipline, and well-rounded excellence make him a rising star in South Jersey and beyond.

Competing in the Junior Olympics is a tremendous honor, but the 10-day event involves significant costs for travel, hotel, meals, and gear. The Cochran family is asking for the community’s help to make this opportunity possible.
