Millville Woman’s Club Thanks Members

The Millville Woman’s Club (MWC) held its last meeting for the summer on June 12. Trustees hosted a catered luncheon as a thank-you to club members for their hours of volunteering, providing financial support, and overall dedication throughout the year to projects focused on supporting and improving our community.

Pam McNamee, president, introduced club member and guest speaker Cheryl Warfle, pictured below at podium. She was Senior Cook for the Vineland Public School, where she was employed for 30 years. With this background, Cheryl provided members with a very detailed educational talk regarding food safety. She addressed handwashing, hairnets, changing gloves with each job, washing/rinsing/sanitizing dishes, sanitizing counter space, maintaining hot and cold food temperatures, times that food can be exposed inside and outside, and more. Discussion followed and Cheryl addressed questions posed by members. This was a very beneficial presentation
MWC is a member of New Jersey State Federation of Woman’s Club (NJSFWC). State organization recognizes members for their service when members’ names are submitted by their respective clubs then those names are put on the Honor Roll. Donna Pio and Caroline Dickson were previously recognized and their names are on the NJSFWC Honor Roll. Diann Ewan, Honors and Award Chairman, announced that Donna and Caroline have been further recognized for their services and their names have been placed on the NJSFWC Order of the Lily register. Diann presented Donna and Caroline with Order of the Lily pins. Receiving their Order of the Lily pins is quite an honor!
