After a break from meetings for the summer, these were resumed by the Millville Woman’s Club (MWC) on September 15 with a special Meet and Greet meeting. Joan Fauver, president, welcomed members and friends to learn about MWC and its activities.
Jane Christy, membership chairperson, provided an overview of MWC and a brief background of the club, noting its founding in 1909 and its affiliation with the international General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) and the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC). She then introduced Board members, officers, and committee chairs. Each outlined her responsibilities as well as activities in which she participates. In alliance with GFWC and NJSFWC, MWC strives to improve the community by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
Many of the club’s activities, civic engagements and community projects were reviewed. This informative meeting was particularly beneficial to new and prospective members.
