Millville High School Teacher Wins National Drexel Award

Millville Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Daniel Lalli, a dedicated educator at Millville High School, has been named a recipient of Drexel University’s 2025 Harold W. Pote “Behind Every Graduate” Award. This distinguished honor recognizes secondary school teachers who have profoundly impacted their students’ educational journeys and inspired them to pursue higher education.

Mr. Lalli is one of only four teachers nationwide to receive the award this year. He was nominated by Amber Bartleson, a former student and graduating senior at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. Amber, who will earn her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration this June, credited Mr. Lalli’s guidance and support as instrumental in her academic and personal growth.

“Mr. Lalli exemplifies the passion, commitment, and mentorship that define outstanding educators,” said Dr. Matt Mazzoni, Superintendent of Millville Public Schools. “We are thrilled that Drexel University has recognized what we in Millville have long known—Mr. Lalli is an exceptional teacher who changes lives.”

Established in 2006, the Harold W. Pote Award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching honors the legacy of Mr. Pote, a former Drexel University trustee, and celebrates teachers who make a lasting impact on their students. As part of the award, Mr. Lalli will be honored at a formal dinner and reception, receive a monetary award from Drexel University, and participate in the LeBow College of Business commencement ceremony, where he and Amber will be acknowledged by the Dean.

Millville High School and the entire Millville Public Schools community extend heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Lalli for this well-deserved recognition.
