Master Gardeners Schedule Bus Trip to Botanical Garden

The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Cumberland County invite you to join a bus trip to the Mt. Cuba Center Botanical Garden in Hockessin, DE on Thursday, September 25. Meet the bus in the rear parking lot of the Ramada Inn, Vineland, at 8:50 a.m. for a 9 a.m departure. Bus will return to the Ramada Inn at 3:30 p.m. Cost of the trip is $55 per person without lunch, $79 per person with lunch. Checks for the trip plus lunch should be made payable to Cumberland County and mailed to Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 291 Morton Ave., Millville, NJ 08332-9776.   

The Mt. Cuba Center mission is to inspire an appreciation for the beauty and value of native plants and a commitment to protect the habitats that sustain them. The Gardening for Ecological Resilience Tour is two hours long and provides an in-depth look at the gardens. Discover how to apply sustainable gardening practices. Learn about environmental topics such as climate change, systems thinking, and consciously sourcing native plants for your region. 

It is suggested that you bring water; guides will assist if you need a return to the Copeland House during the tour. A room has been reserved for lunch. Pack a lunch (cooler on bus), or order from a selection of salads and sandwiches.
