Main Street Vineland Volunteer of the Year To Be Honored at ‘A Taste of Vineland’
Main Street Vineland has named Nancy Nordberg as its Volunteer of the Year. A lifelong Vineland resident and a 1974 graduate of Vineland High School, Nordberg retired after a successful career as a purchasing/materials manager. In recent years, she has become an invaluable part of Main Street Vineland.
Many years ago, Nordberg could be found cruising Landis Avenue in her 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Her love for cars led her to join the South Jersey Mustang Club in 1994, along with her husband Victor, where she soon became an officer. Since 2012, she’s been an active member of the annual Cruise Down Memory Lane.
Nordberg, along with her Cruise comrade, Dave Cardona, has taken on an active role in running Vineland’s annual Christmas Parade. When she’s not helping Main Street, she also volunteers at the South Vineland Methodist Church and sings with the Millville Women’s Club Choir.
Nordberg is also a passionate gardener and an officer of the Delaware Valley Daylily Society. This passion has been a perfect match for her work with Main Street Vineland. Each spring, you can find Nancy, alongside fellow volunteer and honoree, Donata Dalesandro, planting flowers along The Ave.
On Wednesday, October 22, Main Street Vineland will host its annual A Taste of Vineland & Volunteer Recognition Event to honor our dedicated volunteers and partners, including Nordberg. The event, which takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Greenview Inn at Eastlyn Golf Course, will feature signature dishes from Vineland’s top restaurants and a silent auction. Tickets are available at www.theave.biz
