A local boxer, Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna, will be showcasing his pugilistic skills on August 29, live on national television. LaManna, who fights out of Millville and sports a 28-3-1 record, including 10 KOs, will face Brian “La Bala” Mendoza (18-1), at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

This Premier Boxing Champions 154-pound junior middleweight bout will be shown on Fox Sports 1 as an undercard to the main event, a World Boxing Association super-welterweight title fight between reigning champ Erislandy Lara (26-3-3, 15 KOs) and challenger Greg Vendetti (22-3-1, 12 KOs).

LaManna, a Millville High School graduate, is entering this fight having won two of his last three bouts. His last fight, which was originally scheduled for February 9, was cancelled due to the pandemic.

The event is set to begin at 6 p.m. as part of FS1’s Fight Night showcase.
