Library Building Memories, Fun with Legoland© Discovery Center

Several libraries from LOGIN (a consortium of libraries from Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland counties) have partnered with LEGOLAND© Discovery Center Philadelphia for the second year in a row.

The libraries are hosting a contest, sponsored by LEGLOAND, and 16 children (one from each of the participating libraries) will win a voucher redeemable for four annual passes (for their family) to the popular family attraction located inside the Plymouth Meeting Mall in Pennsylvania. Parents and guardians may enter their child for the contest once at each of the participating LOGIN libraries, including the Cumberland County Library, Franklin Township Library, Newfield, Public Library, Pennsville Public Library, and Salem Community College. Each child is eligible to win only one voucher and may not win at more than one LOGIN library. The contest will run through August and the winners will be selected by a random drawing on September 2, 2019.

LEGOLAND© Discovery Center Philadelphia will be doing events this summer at some of the LOGIN libraries. This will include events at the Cumberland County Library (located at 800 E. Commerce Street, in Bridgeton, NJ), on August 12, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Registration for the event is required, as space is limited. To register your child for the event, stop by or call the Cumberland County Library at 856-453-2210, ext. 26100. There will be four 30-minute sessions that day, and children will participate in an activity with the Master Builder from the center.

Coupons for LEGOLAND© Discovery Center Philadelphia are available at each of the participating LOGIN libraries listed above and will allow for a free child’s ticket with the purchase of an adult’s ticket. The coupons are valid through March 31, 2020.

While this offer is exclusive to those with the coupon from one of the LOGIN libraries, the center has another option available for those who do have the coupon… Through December 31, 2019, they are offering 50 percent off the walk-up rate of $29.95 to anyone who shows their library card when they visit their location. This offer is exclusive to their Philadelphia location and can be redeemed at the admission desk upon arrival. It is only valid to those with a library card—and it makes no difference whether your library card is from a New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Delaware library. The two offers cannot be combined, nor can they be combined with any other offer.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia has been a wonderful business partner to the LOGIN libraries and received a Library Champion Award from the New Jersey Library Association Conference, this past May, at the organization’s annual conference. LOGIN’s President, Susanne Sacchetti, the Director of the Cumberland County Library, nominated the center for the award and was excited that they were selected.

The partnership with LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia was established before their opening in April 2017 and has grown since then. Sacchetti is excited to see it benefit not only LOGIN library card-holders but now any library card-holder that visits the attraction. She hopes that everyone will stop by the participating LOGIN libraries this summer to enter their children in the contest, enjoy the various summer reading activities, and build memories with their libraries and LEGOLAND.
