Kim Cruz received the prestigious Captain Paul Pantelis Heart of Gold award for her dedicated and selfless support of Project Thanksgiving. Captain Pantelis served his country (Army) for 19 years, then administered to the needs of his community through the priesthood for 28 years.

Cruz has served Project Thanksgiving in many ways. She has helped with securing sponsorships, banking and promotional needs, as well as collecting food donations through Franklin Bank.
