International Women’s Day Presentation on March 8 Will Preview ‘Voices and Votes’

Atlantic Cape Community College will host Cape May County Clerk Rita Rothberg at 2 p.m. in person and via Zoom on March 8—International Women’s Day—for a talk exploring the local women’s suffrage movement. This talk is part of a planned series of events centered around America’s voting history, in preparation for the college hosting the traveling Smithsonian exhibition, “Voices and Votes,” this summer.

Rothberg’s 45-minute presentation, “The Voice is our Vote: Cape May County and Suffrage,” will focus on suffragettes in Cape May County and will include a question and answer session. Attend in person at the Cape May County campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, or remotely via Zoom at atlantic-edu.zoom.us/j/98668135822 (Webinar ID: 986 6813 5822).

Atlantic Cape will host the Smithsonian’s “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” exhibition, presented by Museum on Main Street in cooperation with New Jersey Council for the Humanities, at the Mays Landing campus July 11 through Aug. 13.
