Jessica Kowal, chief development officer for Inspira Health, has been named to the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) 2019 40 Under 40 list. This international honor is designed to recognize the future leaders within the health care philanthropy community.
“These honorees are part of a select group of health care philanthropy professionals who have demonstrated impressive career achievements, deep community involvement and the potential to be a leader in our profession for years to come,” said Alice Ayres, AHP president & CEO.
Kowal has skillfully led philanthropy efforts at two large South Jersey non-profit organizations, Stockton University and Inspira Health. Under her guidance, Inspira’s Foundations undertook the most ambitious capital campaign in the health system’s history. The campaign’s initial goal of $20 million was reached almost six months earlier than expected. A new goal of $23 million was announced in June. In 2018, Kowal led the most successful employee giving campaign in Inspira’s history.
“Since Jessica joined Inspira Health in 2017, she has provided outstanding leadership for our development activities,” said John DiAngelo, president and CEO, Inspira Health. Her expertise and passion have led to highly successful campaigns and created a culture of philanthropy within and beyond Inspira’s walls.”
Kowal will be recognized at the 2019 AHP Annual International Conference October 23-26 in Washington, D.C. To learn more about the 40 Under 40 program and each of this year’s recipients, visit ahp.org/40under40.
