Hoober, Inc. has purchased the assets of Roork’s Farm Supply. The dealership, at 163 Route 77 in Elmer, will remain open, and several of the Roork’s Farm Supply employees have stayed on and become part of the Hoober, Inc. family.
Hoober is now the regional Kubota, Land Pride, Stihl and Scag dealer and Hoober will continue to provide parts, service and sales support for those products. Roork’s will be transitioning out of, and eventually closing their lawn and garden supply business at the end of March. Additionally, as a full-service Case IH dealer, Hoober is now stocking parts and providing parts, service and sales support out of Elmer for Case IH equipment.
“We’re excited to become part of the community and build upon Roork’s long-standing tradition of serving customers with outstanding products and service. Kubota has a great track record for performance among homeowners and those in the landscaping, construction, rural lifestyle and agricultural communities,” said Dan Balint, store manager for the Elmer and Middletown, DE locations.
As a family-owned dealership, Hoober has been in business since 1941 and has grown to 12 locations across NJ, DE, PA, MD, and VA. Hoober will carry the full line of Kubota tractors, mowers, and RTV’s at the Elmer location, as well as providing full service and parts support for those products, including special winter Uptime Service programs. Trucks run frequently between the 12 Hoober locations, which enables the dealership to offer a comprehensive parts and equipment inventory to support customers’ needs across the region.
“Kubota continues to be a great product line for our dealership and the individual locations that carry and support Kubota equipment,” said Don Mikes, president of Hoober, Inc. “When the opportunity arose to look at adding the Elmer, NJ location we were very excited to continue the heritage that Roork’s has established over the past 74 years with its customers and the community.”
