The Millville Woman’s Club (MWC) had a full agenda at their May meeting. Members who were honored at the annual New Jersey State Federation of Woman’s Clubs (NJSFWC) convention earlier in the month were recognized.
Shirley Holly, NJSFWC president, and Jill McDonald, NJSFWC honors chair, had presented awards for faithful and loyal service to help carry on the work of NJSFWC. Linda Green, MWC Federation secretary, received the highest NJSFWC honor with her name added to the Order of the Lily. Joan Fauver, MWC president, and Nancy Hammond, communications chair, were honored with their names placed on the NJSFWC Honor Roll.
Congratulations went to Patti Bump, Barbara Daley, Melissa King, Pat Moore, Pam McNamee, EllenBeth Nappen and Joann Schmidt for their creative arts, which won 10 NJSFWC gold awards. For clubs with 41+ members, Debbi Permito, Director of MWC Chorus, received first place for “Best all Around Reporting” in Arts Performing and EllenBeth Nappen received second place for Arts & Culture. Congratulations also went to Jane Christy, as the MWC Newsletter received first place. The MWC Pressbook received a second-place award.
MWC awarded Rebecca Christy, Martha Norbury and Hilda Zylberburg for their 25-year MWC memberships. Fauver thanked Ursula Wodlinger for her extended service and dedication, presenting her with her 50-year MWC membership pin!
