Girl with a Grill Restaurant Opens in Voorhees After Successful Rebrand

After four years in business, Lashaun Crawford has officially rebranded her restaurant in Voorhees, New Jersey, from The Original Hot Dog Factory to Girl with a Grill.

The new name better represents the full menu and connects with her long-standing mission of giving back to the community.

Crawford first opened The Original Hot Dog Factory in 2020 at 910 Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Ritz Plaza.

Over time, the restaurant became a well-loved spot for hot dogs, burgers, wings, fries, and other American comfort foods.

However, because of the name, many people thought the restaurant only served hot dogs.

Crawford decided it was time for a change to clarify the confusion and make room for a bigger menu.

At the same time, Crawford had already been running Girl with a Grill, a separate project focused on feeding people in need.

Using a mobile food trailer, she set up pop-up events across greater Philadelphia, cooking hot meals on the spot and giving them away for free.

Since starting, she and her team have fed more than 10,000 people, so merging the two ideas into one business made sense.

By renaming her restaurant Girl with a Grill, Crawford could bring everything under one name, keeping the restaurant while also expanding her community work.

The change also allowed her to add new menu items.

While favorites like hot dogs, burgers, wings, and fries remain, customers can now order hoagies, fried fish platters, salmon rolls, slushies, rice bowls, and more.

Along with the new name and menu, the restaurant also got a fresh new look.

Crawford updated the space with murals of menu items and photos from her community outreach events, reinforcing the message behind the brand.

To celebrate the restaurant’s grand reopening under its new name, Girl with a Grill held a grand reopening event on Friday, February 21st.

The day started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Voorhees Mayor Mignogna at 9 AM.

As the day went on, more and more people arrived.

Guests enjoyed giveaways, food specials, and discounts.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a DJ playing music and a gaming truck.

Now that the rebrand is complete, Girl with a Grill is fully up and running.

Crawford continues to serve her customers while also staying committed to feeding people in need.

With the restaurant and her outreach efforts now working together under one name, she can simultaneously grow her business and mission.
