Game On Grant Program Open to Local Youth Recreational Programs

South Jersey Gas has announced the kick-off of its annual Game On Grant Program. Through the program, South Jersey Gas will award 20 $1,000 grants to recreational organizations in the company’s service territory, which serves children ages four to 18.

The grants provide critical support to sustain local, community-centered athletic programs, leagues, clubs, associations and recreational organizations for children. Recreational services must be coordinated primarily through volunteer efforts to qualify. In addition, the grant must support a traditional youth sport including, but not limited to baseball, softball, soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, volleyball, tennis, lacrosse, golf, field hockey, hockey, swimming, etc.

Navigational Resource Center to Locate in Vineland

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) has launched its new Tri-County Navigational Resource Center located in Vineland to continue serving the residents of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

The office will provide both Safe Return and Navigator program services to community members in need. Both programs are designed to ensure an immediate, direct approach to service delivery and one-stop linkage to critical social services. As such, VOADV can aid individuals and families in navigating reentry services, housing assistance, employment and job-readiness services, substance use and mental health referrals, legal assistance, and more.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is a local affiliate of the national, non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, and provides essential services to our community’s most vulnerable individuals.

The Tri-County Navigational Resource Center originally opened in 2018 and has expanded over the years to its newest location at 1667 E Landis Ave, Building 7. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“VOADV has a history of providing services in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties The collaborative partnerships with law enforcement, agencies, schools, and community stakeholders have allowed the program to expand throughout the years,” said Amanda Leese, VOADV Senior VP of Reentry and Navigator Services. “We are committed to continuing to provide comprehensive assistance to the community’s most vulnerable individuals and look forward to the new opportunities to serve created by bringing the Tri-County Navigational Resource Center to Vineland.”

The Vineland location is one of several Navigational Resource Centers covering VOADV’s footprint. Other office locations are in Atlantic County (26 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401), Burlington County (1289 NJ-38 #105, Hainesport, NJ 08036), Camden County (1812 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08105), and Mercer County (226 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608).

Each year, VOADV serves more than 13,000 individuals throughout the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and operates more than 40 high quality, outcome-driven assistance programs—from homelessness, reentry, veterans assistance and affordable housing services to specialized programs for victims of human trafficking and individuals with addiction, traumatic brain injury and intellectual disabilities.
