Free Virtual Expungement Offered by Vineland Firm

The Hoffman Centers PC, a Vineland-based law firm, is teaming up with multi-state cannabis operator TerrAscend to offer free virtual expungement services for non-violent marijuana-related convictions in New Jersey. The new program, which is being sponsored by TerrAscend’s retail banner,The Apothecarium, is part of an ongoing commitment to restorative justice and reversing the historic and present-day harms of cannabis prohibition.

The initiative will provide pro bono assistance to individuals with prior cannabis convictions or who are currently serving time for offenses that are now legal at the state level.

Jason Wild, the company’s executive chairman, said, “TerrAscend is excited to announce this campaign alongside Hoffman, which will give back to New Jersey communities in a meaningful way.

“We recognize that a criminal record can have a debilitating, generational impact on both the individual and their family, affecting employment, housing, educating, voting, and much more. We are proud to help our patients, customers and community members start with a clean slate,”

With retail locations in Lodi, Maplewood and Phillipsburg—the maximum number of dispensaries allowed by state law—The Apothecarium has one of the largest shares of the projected $2 billion adult-use market by footprint in New Jersey.
