Fayetteville Crime Investigation: Man Charged with Multiple Sex Crimes Involving a Minor

A serious case in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has led to the arrest of 40-year-old Desmond Jordan.

He is facing several charges related to sex crimes involving a minor.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, these incidents occurred in December 2024.

Jordan has been charged with felony child abuse, statutory rape of a child under 15, incest involving a child aged 13 to 15, and indecent liberties with a child.

Officials shared that Jordan and the victim knew each other before these incidents occurred.

However, they did not provide additional details about the nature of their relationship.

After his arrest earlier this month, Jordan made his first court appearance shortly after.

He is currently held in the Cumberland County Detention Center with a secured bond of $300,000.

His next court date is scheduled for February 25, 2025.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Youth Services Unit has led the investigation carefully and thoroughly.
