Eye Associates and the SurgiCenter of Vineland just held its Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive and is pleased to report an excellent turnout. The medical practice was able to collect 20 units of blood. This provided enough units of blood to support 60 local hospital patients. Eye Associates and SurgiCenter of Vineland would like to thank all of the employees, patients, and American Red Cross staff that made this event a success.
“We love working with the American Red Cross to host our Annual Blood Drive,” says Gina Biagi, administrator for Eye Associates and the SurgiCenter of Vineland. “We had a great turn out from both our employees and patients. It was a day for us to support the goals and mission of the American Red Cross.”
As both patients and employees donated, the medical practice was able to help the American Red Cross reach their goal of collecting, processing, and distributing more than 13,000 blood products to 2,600 hospitals daily.
Stacey Chiari, RN and director of Nursing for Eye Associates and SurgiCenter of Vineland, is responsible for the organization of the medical practice’s annual blood drive. Chiari worked diligently with the staff of the American Red Cross and Eye Associates to make sure everything was prepared for this event. “I would like to extend thanks to everyone who played a part in making this event possible,” says Chiari. “Most importantly, I want to thank those who came to donate. These donations are truly what make our blood drive a success.”
