Inspira Heath, in partnership with Rowan College of South Jersey’s (RCSJ) Corporate Education & Training Workforce Development, celebrated the successful completion of the 10-week New Essential Leaders program graduation on Thursday, Oct. 31. This year 34 candidates successfully completed the program.
The New Essential Leaders program started in 2016, and since that time 16 cohorts of new leaders have graduated from the program. Each candidate is nominated by their supervisor to participate in the program and is in attendance during the first and last class to show their support for the candidate.
The program includes courses such as: Introduction to Inspira Leadership, Communicating Across Styles (DISC), Setting Expectations & Giving Feedback, Addressing Performance Issues, Resolving Conflict at Work, Handling Change, Human Resources, and Building Better Teams. These courses are interactive, with group discussions and role playing being an essential part of the program.
RCSJ Provost & Vice President of Academic Services Dr. Brenden Rickards addressed the graduates offering opening remarks, along with RCSJ Workforce Development Special Assistant to the President Brigette Satchell and Inspira Health Network Director of Culture and Engagement Dawn Gelsi-Collins. Senior Vice President of Chief People Officer at Inspira Health Network Erich Florentine provided the welcome. President and CEO of Inspira Health Network John DiAngelo delivered comments to the group and presented the certificates of completion to each student.
Rowan College of South Jersey–Gloucester Campus is located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
