Tina Ellis, BSN, RN, of Northfield, has joined Angelic Health as director of clinical services for hospice care for Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties.
“We are honored to welcome Tina to Angelic Health,” said Angelic CEO Dan Mikus, MSW, MBA. “Her experience and dedication to quality patient care will uphold the standards of service to our hospice patients and their families.”
Ellis received her nursing degree from Atlantic Cape Community College and her BSN at Wilmington University in Delaware.
With a clinical background in critical care, Ellis cared for very sick patient and often saw the toll that both acute and chronic illness took on patients and their families. “I was always compelled to be open and honest with my patients about their illness so they had the opportunity to process the situation and make the decisions that they would want for themselves,” she said. “It was a natural transition for me to move into hospice. As a clinical leader in hospice care, I am blessed to be able to help my team create the most caring and compassionate environment possible for our patients.”
Ellis said her mission is to continue to dispel the hospice myths and misperceptions and to understand what a great benefit hospice care is for both patient and family when faced with terminal diagnosis.
She lives in Northfield with her husband and three daughters.
Angelic Health provides hospice, palliative, memory care and telehealth service and headquartered in West Atlantic City, with offices in Wenonah, Toms River, Myrtle Beach South Carolina, and Blue Bell Pennsylvania.
