D’Ippolito Elementary School held their first BRAVO (Be Respectful and Value Others) assembly of the year to welcome the students to the new school year.
The character education program features a different theme each month to encourage the students to embrace and embody the positive character traits. Each month concludes with an awards assembly, where students who exemplify the month’s trait are honored. The assemblies also feature special guests who explain how the character trait has helped them succeed in life.
September’s program featured Vineland musician Giovanna Crescenzo, a 2014 Vineland High School graduate. Crescenzo performed several songs for the students, including her recently released single, “You.” She also explained to the attentive students how important responsibility is in setting and reaching goals and how it helped her throughout college and in her burgeoning music career.
