County To Hold Day of Remembrance for Lives Lost During Pandemic
In conjunction with the City of Bridgeton and the Bridgeton Ministerial Association, the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners is sponsoring a Day of Remembrance on Saturday, August 7, at 6 p.m. at the Bridgeton City Park’s Amphitheater at Sunset Lake. A memorial service, led by the Bridgeton Christian Ministers Association, will include a symbolic candle lighting, prayers, psalms and songs to remember and honor family and friends who have died during the COVID pandemic.
Board of Commissioners Director Joseph Derella is asking that all bells within the county be rung in unison at 6:30 p.m.
“I hope everyone takes advantage of this special opportunity to come together as a Cumberland County family,” Derella says. “If you can’t come to the event, grab a bell and join us at 6:30 in ringing out our message of love, respect and hope.”
