Cochran Advances to 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games

JioVanni Cochran, a 13-year-old track and field athlete from Millville, is headed to Houston, TX, to compete in the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games, taking place July 26–August 3. Representing both his hometown and the broader South Jersey community, JioVanni earned his place at the Junior Olympics by qualifying in four individual events at the AAU Regional Championships:
– 100 meter dash
– 200 meter hurdles
– 400 meter dash
– 800 meter run
JioVanni’s achievements go far beyond the track. He is a multi-talented student-athlete and role model in his community. In addition to competing on his school’s cross country and track teams, he plays alto saxophone in his school band, maintains honor roll academic status, plays varsity football for the Vineland Blitz varsity football team, and takes private pilot lessons with the dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot. A standout on the Knight Elite Track Club, JioVanni’s dedication, discipline, and well-rounded excellence make him a rising star in South Jersey and beyond.
