Bank Supports Salvation Army Vineland Corps Annual Turkey Drive

Steve Plevins, chairman of The Salvation Army Vineland Corps’ Annual Turkey Drive, delivered proclamations from Congressman Jefferson Van Drew, The Cumberland County Commissioners and Mayor Anthony Fanucci in response to the overwhelming generosity Century Savings Bank has been as a supporter of the Annual Turkey Drive.

Deborah Holman, VP of Marketing and Branch Development Coordinator for Century Savings Bank was on hand to receive the proclamations for participating in one of the largest grassroots turkey drives in New Jersey.

“The Salvation Army Vineland Corps’ Annual Turkey Drive provides food for families who would otherwise not be able to afford to cook a special meal at Thanksgiving. As we gather to give thanks at our own tables this year, we can be proud that we made this happen for families in need right here in our own backyard,” said Plevins.

The public is invited to the Turkey Drive Kickoff Event on Saturday, November 13. The Salvation Army Vineland Corps has partnered with Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity again this year to host the Kickoff Event at the Habitat ReStore, 601 S. Delsea Drive in Vineland (across from Stewarts Drive-In). The fun starts at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Acceptable food donations accepted during the Kickoff Event are frozen turkeys, grocery store gift cards, box or can Thanksgiving-type food. If you would like to send a monetary donation, please write a check to: The Salvation Army Vineland Corps (write “Turkey Drive” on memo line) and mail to: Attn.: Steve Plevins, The Salvation Army Vineland Corps, P. O. Box 354, Vineland, NJ 08362-0354.
