The coronavirus has caused much concern and fear.Throughout the world events are being cancelled, travel curtailed, and restrictions enacted to help stem the spread of COVID-19. At Angelic Health we are leveraging technology to side-step much of the roadblocks we face because of this pandemic. This week we switched gears and changed our annual conference for healthcare social workers and administrators to a Webinar and Virtual Vendor Fair. The event will be held live online, and workshop sponsors and vendors will have the opportunity to showcase their services and businesses.
We also are using our TeleHealth service to provide medical consult and contact with our palliative patients, and hospice patients where restrictions may prevent face to face visit.
“Because we have embraced technology, we were poised to make these adjustments quickly,” said Dan Mikus, CEO of Angelic Health. The company provides hospice, palliative, transitional care to patients in Southern and Central New Jersey. In addition to TeleHealth, it also provides house call care to patients who are unable to get out of their homes, wound care management, and palliative wellness services.
