About Anthony
I’ve been betting on sports since I was old enough to have an opinion about the Giants — which, if you’re from Jersey, means since birth. I was at Monmouth Park the morning New Jersey launched legal sports betting in 2018, placed a $50 bet on the Phillies, and won. I’ve been chasing that high ever since.
By day, I work in adtech in Manhattan. By night (and during lunch, and during slow meetings), I’m checking lines across seven different sportsbook apps. My phone has more betting apps than social media apps, and I’m not sorry about it.
I write about what I know: NFL, NBA, MLB betting, and the New Jersey sportsbook scene. I’ve tested every legal book in the state, I know Atlantic City like the back of my hand, and I’ve made every mistake so you don’t have to. My spreadsheet says I’m up 2.8% lifetime — which in this business makes me practically Warren Buffett.

What I Don’t Cover
Table games and slots aren’t my world — I’m a sports guy through and through. I also stay away from crypto casinos (if I can’t verify the regulation, I can’t recommend it) and horse racing (I respect the sport, but I don’t understand it well enough to write about it). For those topics, check out our other specialists.
The Personal Stuff
When I’m Not Betting
- Season ticket holder for the Giants (nosebleeds, but still counts)
- Commissioner of a 12-year fantasy football league
- Making Sunday gravy like my grandmother taught me
- Weekend trips to AC, 4-5 times a year
Industry Pet Peeves
- “Risk-free” bets that aren’t actually risk-free
- Parlays being pushed to casual bettors
- Apps that crash during game time
- The phrase “lock of the week”
“Look, I’m not gonna lie to you — the books know something we don’t. But if you shop lines, manage your bankroll, and don’t bet with your heart, you’ve got a fighting chance.”
