Millville’s annual and popular downtown car show—featuring antique, classic and unique cars—will hold its 29th annual show on Saturday, September 28 from 12 to 5 p.m. in the Glasstown Arts District. High Street will be closed from Main Street to Broad Street to accommodate the hundreds of cars on display. Century Savings Bank is the naming sponsor, with the Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce and the Cruisin’ Classics Car Club as hosts. Along with Century Savings Bank, other major event sponsors for this year’s event are Rental Country, Bottino’s ShopRite of Millville, Inspira Health and STS Sheet Metal, Inc.
This year the car show is starting at noon, instead of starting at 10 a.m., per previous shows. The show features a Kids Zone, sponsored by Rental Country, located at the empty lot next to the Levoy Theatre. Also new this year will be crafters, which the committee hopes will draw more people to the downtown area.
Entertainment takes place at the Glasstown Plaza on High and Sassafras Streets with Tony Mascara performing throughout the car show times.
The car show is open to all makes and models, including special interest and modern collectibles of any age. Dash plaques and T-shirts will be given to the first 200 cars registered. Trophy presentation will be held at 4:45 p.m. at the Glasstown Plaza. Judges will award over 25 unique trophies, including Best of Show.
In case of rain, the show will be held the following Saturday, October 5. For infomation on car registration, call Tony at 609-839-2239. Pre-registration applications can be provided by contacting the Millville Chamber at 856-825-2600, or online at millville-nj.com.
