Denise Arrigo, Board secretary of the M25 Initiative and chair of the Cumberland County Code Blue Coalition last week announced that a Code Blue was declared by County Emergency Management officials for the evening of November 8 and again early this week for the evenings of November 12 and 13. Warming Centers were open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

For the Bridgeton area, the Warming Center is located at Bethany Grace Community Church, 31 N. Pearl Street; in the Millville-Vineland area the Warming Center is at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ben Corson Hall, 100 S. 2nd Street, Millville.

Code Blue is a grassroots movement of churches and community members responding to the needs of our homeless neighbors. Code Blue is funded by community contributions made to the M25 Initiative (501c3). The program was created to provide warming centers for homeless persons in the community to find shelter from frigid overnight temperatures. Local churches on a rotating basis host the centers to provide temporary relief for our homeless neighbors.
