BRIDGETON, N.J. — Last week, the Bridgeton Public Library unveiled a gallery of iconic Cumberland County photo art which will serve to complement its bookshelves of literature and videos. The gallery of enlarged, framed color photos, donated by local photographer, Gil Walter, are also offered for sale — with all proceeds going toward the Bridgeton Free Library fund. The new photo show replaces a previous exhibition of Walter’s, and features more than 30 new, arresting images of local vistas. They’re all framed and ready to add some color to the walls of local homes and businesses. Mounted photos that were previously on display at the library are also for sale.

Library Director Linda McFadden has issued a public invitation for anyone to visit the library and view the new photo display. “We invite the public to come and enjoy this arresting photo gallery of local beauty and take advantage of our rich treasure of outstanding books and videos to savor here or take home for your reading or viewing pleasure,” McFadden said in a press release. She added, ”Thanks to Mr. Walter, folks can also take home one or more lovely pieces of photo art — and help us fund and sustain the free services of Bridgeton Public Library with their photo purchases.”

The Bridgeton Public Library is located at 150 East Commerce St. in downtown Bridgeton. For more information about the photo show or library services, call (856) 451-2621.
