CHEROKEE, N.J. – Though the Cherokee High School Chiefs are having a strong season this year, tonight they kick off against the Millville Thunderbolts, who buried them 32-7 last year. This year is shaping up to be a different story, as Millville comes to the Cherokee’s bowl with a 1-3 record.

Millville’s offense has struggled to get going this year and the Chiefs look to put a stop to both the passing and running game early on. The key to this game will be to score early and control the clock. Cherokee tends to take care of business on the road this year, yet struggled to beat their sister school, Shawnee, at home. Tonight is their chance to right the ship as they make a strong push for the playoffs with the rest of the season being their hardest half.

Looking ahead, Cherokee faces Williamstown at home then will travel to St. Augustine Prep. Defeating Millville at home may give them the momentum they need to beat those two powerhouses.

To see the action and find out if Millville catches their stride or if Cherokee will put themselves among the top playoff contenders, tune in to Quinn Broadcasting’s stream on Facebook.com/QBCSJ, or watch on Comcast Channel 22 in Cumberland County.

Quinn Broadcasting will also stream Atlantic City at Williamstown at 7 p.m. on their Facebook Page, as well as Ocean City at St. Augustine Prep. Kick off is at 6 p.m.
