A free community training session on the use of NARCAN to save a life from drug overdose is being offered by the Salem County Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services.
The free training will be held on September 25th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Salem County Office of Emergency Management at 135 Cemetery Road in Woodstown. Topics include overdose prevention strategies, signs and symptoms of overdose, how to administer Naloxone, rescue breathing, overdose prevention legal rights, and general support information.
A free NARCAN kit will be given to those attending at the end of the training.
Training will be provided by the professional staff from Urban Treatment Centers. Registration is required.
