CAPE MAY, N.J – The Cape May – Lewes Ferry has been recognized by Smithsonian.com, as one of the seven most scenic ferry rides in the United States.
“Smithsonian magazine is world renowned for chronicling the arts, history, sciences, travel and culture, and it’s an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious institution,” Heath Gehrke, director of Ferry Operations said. “Every cruise across the Delaware Bay can be the backdrop for a host of wonderful new memories and epic family stories. To be included on this exclusive list validates what we’ve always touted – that our ferry service is a break from the ordinary!”
The Cape May – Lewes Ferry is operated by the Delaware River and Day Authority and runs all year round. The ferry service operates between Cape May and Lewes, Delaware and has three vessels MV Delaware, MV New Jersey, and MV Cape Henlopen.
